What is Insomnia?
Insomnia, or trouble sleeping, can be a symptom of another condition as well as a distinct problem of its own, and can affect someone at any stage in life.
Up to 50% of adults in the US experience chronic insomnia, which can be even higher for some populations (e.g. those who are pregnant, or with mental illness, or medical problems).
Lack of sleep can negatively impact mood, relationships, and cognitive performance.
